Pan-European Ecological and Landscape Diversity Strategy

The Parties: legally there are no responsibilities – this is the European contribution to the efforts to support the implementation of the Convention on the Protection of Biodiversity. The legal basis for the measures within the framework of the Strategy is the existing widely recognized international conventions and agreements such as the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Berne Convention, the Bonn and Ramsar Conventions, the EU Wildlife and Habitats Directives. The achievements of the Strategy are presented during the Conferences of Ministers of Environment Protection ‘Environment for Europe’
